How to play Sponges

In Sponges, fill a grid with filled and hollow circles, following the rules for each row and column.

The rules

1. Fill every square with a filled or hollow circle.
2. Each row and column has equal numbers of filled and hollow circles.
3. There are never three identical circles in a row, across or down.
4. No two rows or two columns may be identical; a row may match a column.
5. Given circles can't be changed.

Where to start

Look for two matching circles next to each other in a row or column. The adjacent square must hold the other kind of circle so that there are never three of the same kind in a row.
