Sponges: an 8×8 puzzle to print, with its solution

This Sponges puzzle comes from the same generator as the app, at the Normal level: eight rows, eight columns and a few circles already in place. It has a single solution, and it can be solved by logic alone, without guessing.

How it is played

  • Fill every square with a filled or hollow circle.
  • Each row and column has equal numbers of filled and hollow circles.
  • There are never three identical circles in a row, across or down.
  • No two rows or two columns may be identical; a row may match a column.
  • Given circles can't be changed.
